The Dramatic Arts Program and the Dance Program are now officially the Department of Theatre and Dance within the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS). Dr. Michael Mauldin is the interim chair for the department, and Lynn Deering is the director of dance. The dance program had been located in the College of Education and Human Services. The change increases the opportunities for collaboration and diverse productions in the fine arts programs.College of Science Changes Name
The College of Science is now officially the College of Sciences and Health Professions, and the Department of Health Sciences, within the College, is now the School of Health Sciences. The change allows for better marketing and promotion of the College's numerous health programs.Vikings in Hollywood

Jessica Marie Sutherland, BA '06, who recently graduated from the University of Southern California with a Master of Fine Arts in Writing for Screen and Television from the School of Cinematic Arts, writes, "There are ten recent graduates of the Communication School's film and digital media programs living in Los Angeles, and working in entertainment/attending graduate programs. This picture (above) has just five of us, but we like to think of ourselves as a little alumni group of our own. We all met in film classes at CSU with each other, and now we are making films together out here!"
