Academic Honors
What are academic honors?
Academic honors are a way for the University to note your success. Students acheiving a semester GPA of 3.25 or above may fall into one or more of the following categories and be acknowledged accordingly.

My semester GPA is 3.9 or above, taking 15 credit hours: What does this mean?
- If you took 15 or more credit hours in a single semester, and you earned a GPA of 3.9 or above, congratulations on your outstanding achievement! You may have made it to the President's List!
- The President's List is calculated on credits earned in course work for which grades of A through F are given. Credit earned in a course for which the grade of Satisfactory is achieved will not be counted as part of the 15 semester-credit minimum.
- The determination of who has made the President's List is made by the Registrar's office, and a list of those who achieved this distinction is sent to the President's office no sooner than one month after the end of the semester.
- Acknowledging this mark of excellence is up to the discretion of the President's office.

My semester GPA is 3.25 or above, taking 12 credit hours: What does this mean?
- If you are a full-time student (12 credits or more per semester) or a part-time student completing a 12-hour step, who has earned a grade-point average of 3.25 or better for the semester, congratulations! You may have made the College Dean's List!
- The Dean's List is calculated on credits earned in course work for which grades of A through F are given. Credit earned in a course for which the grade of Satisfactory is achieved will not be counted as part of the 12 semester-credit minimum for full-time status.
- The determination of who has made the Dean's List is made by the Registrar's office, and a list of those who achieved this distinction is sent to each college no sooner than one month after the end of the semester.
- Each academic college acknowledges Dean's List recipients differently. The College of Business has traditionally sent a certificate one to two months after the semester in which the Dean's List distinction was earned. The certificate will go to the place of residence that was listed in CampusNet when the Registrar's office sent the list to the College, so please be sure your address stays up to date in CampusNet.
