The OSM Department will be sending a team to the APICS Student Case Competition in Pittsburgh, to be held February 11-12, 2011. The competition takes place on Friday evening and Saturday, with each team analyzing a case, writing a report and presenting their results and recommendations. There are cash prizes for the winning teams. The OSM Department and the CSU APICS chapter will be contributing money toward travel expenses.

If you are interested in enhancing your analytic skills, adding an eye-catching item to your resume, and having an exciting time competing with your friends against teams from the Mid-Atlantic Region, please apply to be considered for our team. Your application should include:

• an up-to-date resume (including ALL business courses that you have completed);
• a cover letter explaining why you want to be on the team; and
• what special skills you have to contribute.

Once the team has been formed, there will be a number of practice sessions during fall and the beginning of spring semester. Please send your application no later than October 15 to Rich Miller (r.j.miller88@csuohio.edu) or Susan Slotnick (s.slotnick@csuohio.edu). Applicants must be undergraduates registered for courses in spring semester, and student members of APICS ($25 annual fee).
