
We would like to congratulate Dr. Rich Miller for receiving his DBA in Operations Management from Cleveland State University on May 15, 2010. His dissertation was entitled, "New Product Development and Innovation Through Joint Knowledge Creation and Transfer in a Dyadic Supply Chain Relationship." An abstract of Miller's dissertation is below:
"The development of radical and incremental products in the context of supply chain relationships is changing the competitive paradigms for individual firms. The knowledge required for innovation is no longer the sole responsibility of a single firm."

After receiving his MBA from Cleveland State in 2003, Miller has been actively involved with the Department of Operations & Supply Chain Management at CSU, serving as a term instructor since 2007 for courses such as "Operations Management" and "Principles of Lean Operations." In addition, he is a faculty advisor for the department's APICS student chapter. Dr. Miller also has extensive work experience in manufacturing.
