We are pleased to announce that local entrepreneur and Cleveland State University alumnus, Monte Ahuja, has donated $10 million to CSU to fund scholarships and an endowed professorship in business.
The donation is the largest in the university's 47-year history, with the majority of the money going toward business scholarships and a portion also dedicated toward engineering scholarships. In addition, the Board of Trustees unanimously voted to name the College of Business the "Monte Ahuja College of Business."
Ahuja commented on the donation at a special celebration at the University's Student Center:
"CSU has a very special meaning in my life, and I feel extremely fortunate and privileged for this recognition," Mr. Ahuja said. "Our investment towards students pursuing higher education and a path to success is of utmost importance to my family and me, and we are very pleased with this decision."
Dr. Tukel, Chair of the Operations and Supply Chain Management Department, was in attendance and was very happy to hear about Ahuja's wonderful contribution. It will go a long way toward helping more students comfortably finance their education en route to a degree.
