“No matter the challenge, with hard work and determination you can make it to the top.”
Continuing our tradition of recognizing in- and out-of-the-office achievements of students and staff affiliated with the OSM Department, today we recognize Niki Zmij for her recent rock climbing adventure.
Niki currently serves as the Administrative Assistant for the OSM Department and is also an MBA student at CSU. She went on a week-long trip to Indian Creek, Utah, which is about an hour outside of Moab, Utah. Niki was joined by a climbing group of seven other Clevelanders. She has been an avid climber since July 2010, specializing in the form of "crack climbing."
With crack climbing, there is a crack or crevice on the face of a cliff that is about the width of a climber's fingers. Climbers ascend the crack by jamming or wedging their fingers in the crack. It might look like an intimidating endeavour, but Niki has had no issues tackling any challenges that have been presented to her and looks forward to taking on more rock climbing adventures in the future.
