Dr. Rich Miller, Operations & Supply Chain Management

Dr. Rich Miller, a Term Assistant Professors in the Operations and Supply Chain Management Department at Cleveland State, will be the guest speaker at the APICS Professional Development Meeting (PDM) on April 13, 2011.

The presentation will focus on the competing interests of sustainability, with respect to new product development and supply chains.

Participants will learn and gain:

• A better understanding of the academic view of what sustainability means in supply chains and new product development
• The impact of different decisions when new products are: developed, sourced, launched, used by consumers, and reintroduced into the supply chain through reverse logistics.
• The role of short-term benefits vs. the long-term implications decisions
