The Landscape Horticulture Program has been endorsed by Cleveland Botanical Gardens. You’ll earn a Certificate in Landscape Horticulture by completing these seven required courses:

• Introduction to Horticulture and Landscape Operations  (Foundation course: must be taken first)
  Offered in the Fall semester
   
• Care and Selection of Trees, Shrubs, and Ground Covers Part I
  Offered in the Fall Semester
   
• Selection and Care of Turfgrass
  Offered in the Fall semester
   
• Care and Selection of Trees, Shrubs, and Ground Covers Part II
  Offered in the Winter/Spring 2011 semester
   
• Landscape Design  
  Offered in the Winter/Spring 2011 semester
   
• Plant Health Care for the Landscape
  Offered in the Winter/Spring 2011 semester
   
• Flowers for the Landscape
  Offered in the Winter/Spring 2011 semester
   

Practicing professionals design and teach the courses. You must attend 80% of each course and satisfactorily complete any required assignments in order to earn continuing education units (CEUs) for participation. Individual courses may be taken without completing the certificate program.
