All those wishing to participate in the Imagination Writer's Workshop must submit a manuscript (either 10 to 30 double-spaced pages of fiction, creative nonfiction, stage play or screenplay; or 10 to 15 pages of poetry) along with the application form.
All manuscripts must be postmarked by June 1, 2013.
Submit your best work. The manuscript that you apply with will also be the manuscript that is workshopped by your group.
Book chapters and screenplay or stage play excerpts should be accompanied by a one-page synopsis of the entire project, if possible. If enclosing a synopsis, keep it to one page and attach to back of the manuscript. Upon notification of acceptance, workshop participants will be asked to remit tuition, credit or not-for-credit, as appropriate. Applicants for full, non-credit participation should send manuscript and application form to the address below by June 1, 2013. Upon acceptance non-credit workshop participants will be asked to remit $849 in tuition.
Applicants for 4 hours of graduate or undergraduate credit should send manuscript and application form to the address below by June 1, 2013. Upon acceptance workshop participants will be asked to remit appropriate tuition. Applicants seeking credit, but not enrolled at Cleveland State or in the NEOMFA, will have to fill out a formal student application. Applicants for 3 hours of NEOMFA graduate credit should send a manuscript and application form to the address below by June 1, 2013 and proceed to arrange for registration though the NEOMFA Coordinators at their gateway universities.
