Through the academic year, the Advisory Committee offers to the university community a variety of ways in which to connect with each other and to examine women's issues and issues pertinent to the role and status of the women of the CSU community.
On March 31, 2010, in Panel Hall from 2:00PM – 5:00PM, the Advisory Committee presented Conversations, a campus event celebrating the completion of Women’s History Month at CSU. The keynote speaker was CSU’s outgoing Provost, Mary Jane Saunders, who was leaving CSU to become the President of Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Saunders address, entitled “Leadership in Public Higher Education Today” spoke to the community about the issues facing women in administration in higher education as well as the myriad changes taking place in the higher education field. Following the address, the audience participated in Round Table discussions on women’s issues, especially issues affecting women in academe.
