On Friday, February 5, more than 20 Cleveland State University Dramatic Arts students will lock themselves into the Factory Theatre for 24 hours to see what happens.
One result: “24 Hour Theater,” a series of original performances written, directed and rehearsed over the past 24 hours that will be staged for the public on Saturday, February 6 from 8-9 p.m. at the Factory Theatre.
After a few guidelines are provided by director of Dramatic Arts Michael Mauldin and Holly Holsinger, assistant professor of dramatic arts, the 20+ student actors, directors and playwrights will begin their experiment on Friday evening, continue throughout the night and into the next day, and end with the Saturday night performance. Food will be provided by local restaurants.
“24 Hour Theater” is sponsored by STAGE, the student theater organization at CSU.
Tickets are just $3. The Factory Theatre is located at 1833 East 24th Street, between Chester and Payne avenues.
For ticket reservations, please call the box office at 216.687.2113. Tickets may also be purchased one-half hour before show time.
