Cleveland State Holds Spring 2010 Career Fair on Friday, Feb. 26

CSU Student and Author of Learn to Intern CEO Style to give free workshop on Feb. 23

Cleveland State University’s Spring Career Week, February 22-26, will culminate with the popular 31st annual Spring Career Fair on Friday, February 26 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Physical Education Building, located at 2451 Euclid Ave.

All events are free and open to current student, recent grads, and alumni of all colleges and universities. Employers will be looking for college interns and graduates at the Fair on February 26. More than 100 employers will attend the Career Fair, the largest in Northeast Ohio. To view the list of employers attending, go to www.csucareerfair.com.

Special Event

Antoine Moss, CSU student and author of the popular book, Learn to Intern CEO Style, will give a workshop based on his book on Tuesday, February 23 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs, room 254. Through extensive research and broad personal experience, including internships at the FBI and NASA, Moss developed 71 leadership principles that he offers to high school and college students on how to succeed in the internship arena.

Moss earned a master’s degree in Public Administration from CSU and is currently pursuing his doctorate in Urban Studies and Public Affairs with a focus on leadership at CSU. About Spring Career Week

Spring Career Week offers students, alumni, professionals and the general public tips on many topics related to the job search process — advice that is more important than ever in today’s competitive job market. The Career Fair enables job-seekers to meet with prospective employers; learn about job openings, cooperative education, and internship opportunities; and network with professionals in their fields. Attendees should bring their resumes and dress in business attire.

Major industries represented at the Career Fair on February 26 include manufacturing, banking, IT, healthcare, government, social services, retail and communication. Employers attending include CareerBoard.com, Cleveland Division of Water, Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Dollar Bank, the FBI, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Hyland Software, Middough, Inc., Ohio State Highway Patrol, Progressive Insurance, Sherwin-Williams, U.S. Bank and many others.
