Shaker|LaunchHouse and Cleveland State University's Nance College of Business are hosting a business idea competition designed to foster the entrepreneurial success of our region's most innovative students.
The competition is a semi-annual event open to students from any Northeast Ohio college or university. Students pitch business concepts to a panel of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, CSU business faculty and staff from Shaker LaunchHouse. Winners receive a scholarship for the Global Accelerated MBA program at Cleveland State University and startup support from Shaker|LaunchHouse.
Students from any discipline may submit their ideas at www.csuhio.edu/business until noon on April 25. The judges will seek ideas related to software and innovative technology solutions but will consider other opportunities as well.
Finalists will make a two-minute pitch before a panel of entrepreneurs and venture capitalists on May 5 at Shaker|LaunchHouse at 3558 Lee Road in Shaker Heights, Ohio. The winner will receive $2,500 scholarship to the Global Accelerated MBA program along with a prize basket of support services from LaunchHouse, including an initial $1,000 investment, incubation space, legal support, accounting support, and business planning assistance. They will also have the opportunity to compete for up to $5,000 in additional funding.
