Campus Visitors and Parking Reservations - UPDATES

In light of continued demand for available parking spaces and in an effort to improve the service provided to all campus guests, the Department of Parking Services has

1. Increased the locations which accept Visitor parking
2. Changed the process by which University departments and student organizations may request reservations for guests and/or special event parking services.

Expanded Visitor Parking locations:

• All hours of operation in the East Garage, Lot AA, Lot S3A, South Garage (SG) and the West Garage, based on availability.
• In the Central Garage after 5:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, after 2:00pm on Fridays and during weekend hours of operation.
• The current cash rate for visitors is $6.00
• Single Use, Any Day parking passes may be purchased for $6.00 in the Parking Services office (CB128). Such passes are considered Pre Paid and permit holders to access any Pre Paid garage or lot, based on availability.

Procedural Changes for Reservations and Special Events, effective November 3, 2008:

1. Requests for reservations or special events must be submitted via fax to Parking Services (216.687.5505) no less than two business days prior to the date needed. The forms are available to download here Parking Reservation Request Form . Departmental representatives should expect an acknowledgement of receipt via telephone or email.
2. Parking Services reserves the right to decline any reservation request if it is for a class day - Mondays and Wednesdays are currently experiencing very heavy demand. In such cases, campus event hosts will need to direct their guests to the Visitor parking locations.
3. All reservations must be prepaid with a department account number or another acceptable form of payment.
4. Special Event requests will generally be assigned to facilities which are already staffed to accept Must Pay and Visitor patrons.  
5. The posted Special Event rate will be no less than the current Visitor rate unless the department wishes to purchase parking for the participants.
