No matter your major, the communication minor can develop the soft skills that are highly sought after in various professional settings. The minor consists of 18 credit hours. Students who major in Journalism and Promotional Communication must take four additional communication courses.

Deepen your understanding of human communication disorders and the role of speech-language pathologists and audiologists in their diagnosis and treatment. The ability to communicate effectively is fundamental for success in any workplace environment and is a sought-after soft skill for new hires. Increase your abilities and confidence in public speaking, effective use of social media, managing groups/teams and creating digital content for communication. The certificate program consists of 12 credit hours.
