Format: On Campus

Gain a deeper understanding of human performance, exercise testing and exercise prescription. Prepare for general personal training certifications or take additional courses to prepare for specialized certifications including, group exercise instruction, health and wellness coaching, training special populations, strength and conditioning and sports performance. The minor consists of 15 credit hours.

Gain a deeper understanding of the intricacies of the human body and its functions while developing skills in group exercise instruction, evaluation in health and sport performance and prevention and rehabilitation of cardiovascular diseases.

Become a health promotion specialist, exercise physiologist or rehabilitation professional. Deepen your knowledge in subjects such as exercise testing and prescription, nutrition and physical activity and physiology of human performance. The program culminates with a comprehensive exam where you will showcase your mastery of the material.
