Part-Time Single Term Instructor Hiring Process - For the Instructor

Application

  • You are required to apply to the posting and upload a CV and a Cover Letter
  • Include the name and contact information for 2 references – your references will be contacted to provide a letter of support for your hire

Offer of Employment

  • If you are selected for hire, the department Chair will reach out with a verbal employment offer, which will include the class(es) to be taught and the salary for the semester

Background Check

  • You will receive an email from Asurint to complete a background check - include highest level of education.  The offer for employment is contingent upon successfully completing the background check

Onboarding

  • Once the background check is complete, you will receive an email from the CSU Department of Human Resources with a link to complete onboarding paperwork

  • Hire is contingent upon verification of identity and eligibility to be employed in the United States.  You must complete Section 1 of the Form I-9 in your onboarding documents.  Within three business days of your first day of employment, you must present documentation sufficient to verify Section 2 of the Form I-9 to Human Resources located in the Administration Center at 2300 Euclid Ave. Suite 113 or by calling 26-687-3636 

CSU Email

  • Once the onboarding paperwork is complete, you will receive an email to your personal email with your CSU ID number and information to set up your CampusNet password

Contract

  • You’ll receive a copy of the contract to your personal email from the department
  • You’ll be required to sign and return the contract to your department
  • Once the contract is signed and submitted to HR for processing, you will receive access to your CSU email and Blackboard

Payroll Documents

  • Once you have access to your CSU email, you will receive an email to your CSU email from CSU’s Payroll Department requesting that you complete a Direct Deposit form and tax forms

Pay Dates

  • Fall Semester - September 30, October 31, November 30 and December 
  • Spring Semester - February 28, March 31, April 30 and May 31
  • Summer Semester - June 30, July 31 and/or August 31 (depending on the summer session)
