SPRING 2020 Events

 

Campus Safety is a top priority at Cleveland State University. The main objective of the A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evaluate) training video is to provide students, faculty, and staff with options to increase their chances of survival during an "Active Shooter on Campus" emergency. All students are required to submit a signed copy of this release form PRIOR to their required out-of-class activity, ALICE training conducted by Campus Police. 

All first-year students are required to register via the FYE VikesConnect page and attend one of the following trainings:

From there you can select which one you would like to attend and register

• Tuesday, February 4: 11:30 am - 12:15pm in SC 315
• Tuesday, February 4: 1:30 pm - 2:15 pm in  SC 315
• Wednesday, February 12: 11:30 am - 12:15pm in BH 440
• Wednesday, February 12: 1:30 pm - 2:15 pm in BH 440

All students attending must at least 10 minutes prior to the training start time to complete the check-in process. Please bring a signed waiver and your CSU ID.

Join team members from CSU's Undergraduate Studies departments to learn helpful academic skills (meeting goals, time management, note-taking, etc.) throughout Spring Semester! The Success Skills Workshops are one-hour sessions that focus on skills students need to develop and implement to be successful in college.

All of these events listed above are for credit in the FYE Seminar: Intro to University Life (ASC 101, ASC 101S, HON 101, NUR 101). All attendance is tracked, verified, and sent to instructors by the Office of First Year Experience.
