Anti Hazing Week
The Division of Campus Engagement, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is planning for a week of events centered around community building, violence prevention, and demonstrating Viking values! National Hazing Prevention Week is September 25-29 and features events to promote safety and wellbeing on campus. All CSU Community members are welcome to join.

September 25: Instagram Flyer competition all week, virtual
Follow @engageclestate on Instagram. All students are welcome to participate. Flyer contest to create something that explains what hazing prevention means to your student organization. Prizes will be giftcards towards catering ($100, $200, $300). Hosted by the Center for Campus Engagement and CARE -
September 25: During National Hazing Prevention Week the Barbie Photo Booth is available for photos in the Mareyjoyce Green Women's Center (Berkman Hall 142) during business hours. Visit the photo booth, take a photo, and tag @csudeanofstudents on Instagram to be entered to win prizes all week. Open to all CSU students. Extra prize entries if you hold a sign indicating "This Barbie is Against Hazing" or mention anti-hazing in the insta post.

September 26: Bystander Intervention Training – Students only - 4pm – 5pm , SC 324
The AVP/Dean of Students will present a students-only interactive workshop featuring the 5 Ds of intervention (Direct, Delegate, Distract, Document, and Delay) and how to apply those skills in hazing situations. -
September 27: Bystander Intervention Training – Faculty/Staff only - 12pm – 1pm, SC 234

The Dean of Students will present an employee-only interactive workshop featuring the 5 Ds of intervention (Direct, Delegate, Distract, Document, and Delay) and how to apply those skills in hazing situations we encounter at work. Collaboration with Human Resources.

September 27: Open Mic Night in Res Halls – Res Hall Students - 6pm, The Edge Sky Lounge

Attend an engaging evening with an open mic night in The Edge Sky Lounge. Listen, participate, applaud fellow students who share their songs, poetry, and thoughts. Hazing prevention, inclusion, belonging are the general theme. In Collaboration with Residence Life
