Welcome to CSU Health Clinic
FOR EMERGENCIES CALL 9-1-1
Our on-campus, Cleveland State Health Clinic is available for in-person and virtual care services.
Located in the College of Health, 2112 Euclid Avenue, Room 205
CSU Health Clinic is a high-quality medical facility committed to serving the medical needs of the CSU community including students, faculty, staff and post-graduates. This RN-led clinic is supported by virtual certified nurse practitioners and doctors from the MetroHealth System, Northeast Ohio's Home of Health.
CSU Health Clinic offers a variety of services including primary and same day urgent care, health counseling, immunizations, labs and necessary testing. Refer to the links on the left-hand side of this page for more information.

In operating the CSU Health Clinic, MetroHealth offers the following services to CSU students, staff and faculty on-campus at the CSU Health Clinic or via virtual urgent care:
Virtual Urgent and Same-Day Care
- Support for minor illnesses and injuries: sprains, strains, cough/cold symptoms, flu symptoms, rashes, COVID concerns, etc.
- Frictionless entry with dedicated virtual providers committed to creating access for patients
- Referrals to preferred ancillary service network when needed
- Appointments available in just minutes
- Same-day prescriptions delivered to patient
Scheduled Virtual Primary Care
- Frictionless entry with a dedicated virtual provider
- Appointments available in just days (or sooner!)
- Focus on building a longitudinal relationship (can continue care after CSU graduation)
- Referrals to preferred ancillary service network when needed
- Integration with behavioral health
- Annual checkups and preventive care
- Same-day prescriptions for patients
- Lab orders and recommended screenings (can then be done/performed within CSU Health Clinic)
- Referrals to in-network specialists
- Support common chronic conditions like prediabetes, diabetes and hypertension
Virtual Integrated Behavioral Health (referrals and coordination through the virtual primary care team)
- Online therapy with a focus on whole-person, culturally competent care
- Integration with primary and specialty care within your clinical services
- Brief, single-session interventions or up to 8 sessions of individual therapy
- Same-day warm hand-offs from primary and urgent care
- Coordination with services that address social determinants of health
For urgent or emergent issues, the patient will be directed to Express Care of the nearest Emergency Room.
Express Care
MetroHealth Express Care offers walk-in availability for care. Express Care does not require an appointment and can treat relatively minor conditions. Express Care locations are staffed by highly qualified primary care providers. In most cases, you will be seen in Express Care more quickly than in an Emergency Room. Express Care is appropriate for the following conditions:
- Allergic reactions
- Animal bites
- Coughs, colds and sore throats
- Ear infections
- Fever or flu-like symptoms
- Mild asthma
- Minor burns, injuries or cuts
- Sexually transmitted infection (STD) testing
- Skin irritations or infections
- Sprains and strains

Public transportation is accessible at both locations. Alternately, shuttle transportation can be arranged by calling 216-778-5258.

Emergency Room
For life-threatening emergencies, go to the nearest emergency room or call 9-1-1. MetroHealth's Emergency Department locations are here. Conditions that should be managed in the emergency room include:
- Chest pain
- Difficulty breathing
- Drug or other poisoning
- Loss or blurred vision
- Loss of consciousness
- Major burns
- Stroke symptoms
JED Campus Program
Cleveland State University has joined the JED Campus Program, a nationwide initiative of The Jed Foundation (JED) designed to guide schools through a collaborative process of comprehensive systems, program and policy development with customized support to build upon existing student mental health, substance abuse and suicide prevention efforts.
CSU's Health and Wellness Services is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).
