Courageous Conversation on September 29
CSU presents a conversation in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month
Cleveland State University’s acclaimed dialog series Courageous Conversations has tackled all topics and news of the day related to inclusiveness and diversity through honest discussions between CSU leaders and both public- and non-profit leaders in a safe, supportive space.
This conversation will center on Latinos: Driving Prosperity, Power, and Progress at CSU and Beyond on Friday, September 29, from 10-11:00 a.m. in the Student Center (rooms 313-315). Those interested in attending can do so by registering here.
The Panelists include:
Juan Carlos-Medina, Workforce Development Coordinator, Spanish American Committee,
Elizabeth Hammer, Engineering Student at CSU,
Juan Carlos Calderon, Esperanza, Inc.,
and,
Sebastian Canales, First-year Law Student at CSU.
The event will be moderated by Jenna Martinez, Director of LGBTQ+ Student Services at CSU.
A Latin-style cuisine will be offered for breakfast, along with special cultural music.
With the end goal of creating lasting change in the community, past Courageous Conversations sessions have identified solutions to address systemic racial and gender injustice while fostering more inclusive, diverse environments that are guided by shared wisdom and empowerment.
