The Cleveland State University Alumni Association continues to receive recognition for its efforts to promote campus engagement and community involvement. CSUAA has earned six Pride of CASE V Awards, sponsored by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, District V. The awards will be presented at the District V Conference in December.

The Alumni Association received the Gold Award for Excellence in Design - Specialty Pieces for its Graduation Kit -- a self-contained package of collateral materials, information, an alumni pin, and spirit items designed to educate and engage new alumni at that transition point in their lives.

CSUAA also earned Gold for Best Student Alumni Programming for its 5 Under 35 program – panel discussions which provide current students with insights on life after graduation from young alumni.

CSUAA is taking home three Bronze awards for Best Institutional Website for the CSU Foundation website; Excellence in Special Events, Individual for the Women's Leadership Symposium; and Best New Alumni Program for Continuum: The Alumni Engagement Model for Cleveland State University.

Heading into its fifth year, the women’s leadership program attracts hundreds of alumnae and students for a day of informative and inspiring lectures, breakout sessions, and panels covering important areas of interest to women. The Continuum Alumni Engagement Model employs a step-by-step approach to deepening the levels of alumni participation and philanthropy.

In addition, the Alumni Association received an Honorable Mention for Best Collaborative Program for the Northeast Ohio Alumni Engagement Summit, which brought together more than 100 representatives of some 40 organizations to share best practices, ideas and professional perspectives on such topics as social media, measuring engagement and leadership boards.

“The CSUAA is committed to engaging with alumni at all stages of life and having them engage with the University,” said Brian Breittholz, assistant vice president of alumni relations and executive director of the Alumni Association. “We are grateful for this CASE recognition of our efforts.”

The annual Pride of CASE V Awards showcase best practices in alumni relations, fundraising, advancement services, special events and outstanding communications. Experts from all disciplines outside of District V judge the entries. CASE District V encompasses Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin and includes 400-plus member institutions.

The Cleveland State University Alumni Association represents over 126,000 alumni with close to 80 percent of alumni residing in the northeast Ohio region.
