Levin College Hosts “What’s Happening? Cleveland’s Waterfronts” on April 10, 2014

CLEVELAND – Cleveland State University’s Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs will present a forum titled “What’s Happening? Cleveland’s Waterfronts” from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, in the college’s Roberta Steinbacher Atrium, 1717 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland.

“What’s Happening? Cleveland’s Waterfronts” is the first in a series of programs examining the promise and possibility inherent in the recent changes to the Cleveland lakefront park system, coupled with the city’s renewed prioritization of lakefront redevelopment.

In light of this enormous opportunity to finally connect Clevelanders to their waterfronts, the forum will provide an update on various plans and projects that are underway or recently completed.

The panelists will include:

Pam Carson, executive director of the Trust for Public Land, Ohio
Jeff Ramsey, executive director of the Detroit-Shoreway Community Development Corporation
Donna Studniarz, director of strategic initiatives for Cleveland Metroparks
Bob Brown, director of the City of Cleveland’s City Planning Commission
Linda Sternheimer, development manager for the Cleveland-Cuyahoga County Port Authority

The program will be moderated by Tony Coyne, president of Mansour, Gavin, Gerlack & Manos Co., L.P.A., and chair of the City of Cleveland’s City Planning Commission.

“What’s Happening? Cleveland’s Waterfronts” is made possible with the support of a Civic Engagement Grant from Cleveland State University.

The forum is free and open to the public.
