Intercollegiate Innovation Day Brings Region’s Innovators, Faculties, Students Together at KSU Design Innovation Hub
Cleveland State University will be a part of the inaugural Innovation Day held at Kent State University, sponsored by KSU’s Division of Research and Sponsored Programs on Friday, March 24 from 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the KSU Design Innovation Hub.
This event is a collaboration between the institutional members of the Northeast Ohio Public University Research Alliance (NEO-PURA)—University of Akron, Northeast Ohio Medical University, Youngstown State University, CSU and host KSU—showcasing leading-edge innovations in Northeast Ohio’s innovation ecosystems, sponsored by industry partners.
The event will serve as a venue for innovators, university faculties, and students to discuss and showcase the region’s key innovations, technology transfer strategies, and thought leadership. Keynote Speaker will be Lydia Mihalik, Director of Ohio Department of Development.
Mihalik is a 2010 graduate of the Jo Ann Davidson Leadership Institute and a 2010 graduate of the Government Leadership Academy. She serves on the Hancock County Red Cross Board of Directors as well as Board of Directors for The Partnership for Excellence.
She is currently a board member for the Ohio Mayors Alliance (a collaboration of Ohio’s 20 largest cities), has served on the Advisory Board for the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) and appointed Chair of the USCM Standing Committee on Children, Health and Human Services. She is currently Vice Chair of the USCM Women Mayors Leadership Alliance.
Meredith Bond, Ph.D., Vice President for Research and Innovation at CSU will be among the participants in the University Collaborations and Partnership Panel during the afternoon portion of the event.
