Spring Open House draws over 1,500 people to campus
Even the threat of a spring snowstorm did not stop more than 1,500 people from visiting Cleveland State University for the fourth annual Spring Open House on Saturday, March 29. Over 600 students and 900 guests spent the day exploring what our dynamic campus has to offer by attending information sessions, visiting with over 60 CSU organizations? at the Campus Fair, taking campus and residence hall tours, and meeting with advisors. Students were also able to get a feel for the individual colleges at specific events hosted by each.
A new feature of the 2014 Spring Open House, the Next Steps Station, was bustling with activity throughout the day. Over 90 students worked with CSU admissions and registrar staff to complete an application for admission, accept their admission to CSU, sign up for orientation and receive a transfer-credit evaluation – all right on the spot.
“This year’s Spring Open House was an extreme success,” said Rob Spademan, assistant vice president, university marketing and student recruitment. “Our dedicated faculty and staff came together to produce a great day for students and their guests. Students were able to get a feel for everything we offer at CSU, and for many, it made their decision to apply and enroll very easy.”
