TEDxClevelandStateUniversity Returns to CSU With “Untangling Wonder”

Published on

After a decade-long pause, a reimagined TEDxClevelandStateUniversity will return to Cleveland State University’s (CSU) Waetjen Auditorium on Friday, Oct. 23, bringing together ideas, innovation and community voices under the theme, “Untangling Wonder.”

The theme draws inspiration from the four psychological dimensions of wonder: cognitive, emotional, motivational and existential.

“Untangling Wonder was inspired by the educational environment at CSU,” said Colette Hart, senior director of the Centers for Outreach and Engagement in the Monte Ahuja College of Business at CSU and one of the lead organizers of the TEDx event. “Wonder reflects an ongoing state of curiosity, while untangling signifies the process of navigating complex ideas. Together, the theme invites us to explore the mysteries that shape our world.”

This event, organized by CSU and licensed by TED, will feature presentations from local leaders, encouraging attendees to step into the unknown with curiosity, courage and imagination.

“TEDx returning to CSU reflects our commitment to serve our community as a hub for sharing ideas and unleashing creativity,” said CSU President Dr. Laura Bloomberg. “I am proud of our faculty, staff, students and community leaders who are bringing this event back so that we can all explore concepts that push the boundaries of knowledge, discovery and innovation.”
