‘Treasures of Jazz’ Concert on October 17 Salutes Civil Rights Era

The Jazz Heritage Orchestra will perform with Pat Harris and Exquisite at the seventh annual “Treasures of Jazz” concert at 7 p.m. Saturday, October 17, in Cleveland State University’s Main Classroom Auditorium, 1899 East 22nd Street, Cleveland.

Presented by the CSU Black Studies Program, this year’s concert will pay tribute to the music of the Civil Rights Movement.

Under the direction of Dennis Reynolds, the Jazz Heritage Orchestra has performed with such greats as Nancy Wilson, Clark Terry and Benny Golson.

Vocalist Pat Harris, a Cleveland native, has performed locally, nationally and internationally. Exquisite is a community choir making its Cleveland debut.
