Cleveland State University ranks No. 43 among the Top 100 colleges and universities across the nation with the greatest increase in student applications, highlighting the University's growing national reputation as a first-in-class urban research university.

Applications to CSU surged 67 percent between the 2011-2012 academic year and the 2016-2017 academic year, according to a recent USA Today story detailing the results of a study by the financial news website 24/7 Wall Street.

CSU saw the sixth greatest increase in applicants throughout the entire Midwest region, behind only three other public institutions and two private institutions. CSU was also ranked among the Top 3 colleges and universities in Ohio, public or private and was the only public university in Northeast Ohio in the Top 100 rankings.

"This further validates Cleveland State's growing position as a school of preference," said CSU President Harlan M. Sands. "We offer an affordable, hands-on approach to higher education that clearly resonates with prospective students, and we are honored that CSU is on the shortlist for more and more of them."

CSU is currently accepting applications for the 2019-2020 academic year. Apply online at engagecsu.com/apply.
