Incentive Program: The Center for eLearning will provide a one-time stipend of $500 to faculty upon successful completion of this course.*

The Center for eLearning developed this self-paced online course for faculty who will be building and teaching courses in Blackboard Learn Ultra as we transition away from Blackboard Learn Original. This LTEU course is designed to get you comfortable navigating the Learn Ultra site and started building content, creating assessments, and working with discussions in the Blackboard Learn Ultra course view. We recommend participants first complete the Faculty Online Teaching and Design Course (FOTD) which focuses on the design and planning of an online course prior to taking this LTEU course.

Upon completion of this course, you will be able to do the following.

• Explain key terms related to the Ultra course experience.
• Navigate a Blackboard Learn site using the Ultra experience.
• Discuss the key course tools and course building features.
• Build a basic course.
• Create quizzes and assignments for assessing learners.
• Create discussions and explore options for groups.

Participants should plan to spend approximately 20 hours and come into the course with a syllabus, including a detailed schedule of activities.

*Please Note: To be eligible for the stipend, your primary role at CSU must be either full-time or part-time faculty. Part-time faculty must be teaching or scheduled in Campusnet to teach in an upcoming semester in order to be eligible. Although welcome to take the course, GAs, students and professional staff are not eligible for the stipend if their primary role is not faculty.
