West Garage

The West Garage (WG) is located at 1851 E. 17th Street, between Euclid and Chester Avenues. 

The garage has four levels with 600 parking spaces and provides parking for CSU Prepaid parking patrons (faculty, staff, and students) and limited use for campus visitors. WG is automated and has no parking attendant on site. On occasion, the WG may be unavailable for campus parking in order to provide for special event parking. West Garage serves the Monte Ahuja College of Business (BU), The Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs (UR), CM Law, the CM Law Library (LB, LL) and the Arts campus (AT).

Operating Hours: 5:00am - 11:59pm, sevens days a week. Overnight visitor parking is not permitted.

Permit Parking

WG is available to prepaid permit holders (Green, Evening and Night) based upon their permit type and associated time parameters. All permit holders must scan in and out of the garage with their Viking Card. If a permit holder does not have their Viking Card, they cannot access the garage. Overnight parking is only available to designated parking permits (with a valid overnight sticker) on vehicles registered with Parking & Transportation. The Chester Avenue entrance is reserved for permit holders only. The Lot Full sign will indicate once the garage reaches capacity, and no additional vehicles will be allowed to park. Note that spaces may be available for department guests and reservations after the garage reaches capacity.  If a permit holder needs assistance, a HELP button is located at each entry and exit point. 

Limited Visitor Parking

Limited visitor parking may be available on a first come basis from approximately 3:00pm to 11:59pm Monday through Friday.  Visitor parking is available 5:00am until 11:59pm on Saturdays and Sundays. Overnight parking is not available for visitors. Visitors that wish to park overnight should utilize South Garage. 

WG rates: $2 for first hour - $1 per hour after. Max $10 per day.

Visitors enter the facility by pressing the blue button on the ticket spitter located at the entry lane. The patron takes the  ticket and proceeds through the raised gate to park in the facility.

When the visitor leaves the facility, they will insert their pull ticket into the machine in the exit lane. The machine calculates the parking rate and displays the amount owed on the front of the machine. Payment can be made with cash (up to $20 bill accepted), credit card (Visa, Mastercard and Discover), or bank debit card. Change dispensed for cash payments is made in $1 coin only.
