The Pursuit of Wellness
With busy work schedules and school right around the corner, staying healthy can be a struggle. Here at the Cleveland State Rec Center, we help you to "Be Active, Be Well" through many of our everyday programs and opportunities. Recently, however, we have started a pursuit of wellness, outlined by our Shine Well: Wellness Illuminated pamphlet. Its purpose? To help you better understand the different facets of wellness and how best to accomplish each one. In our new Fall Program guide, you can find indicators of each wellness factor next to the program description. So what is this pursuit of wellness and how do we achieve it? There are seven dimensions of wellness that we focus on here at the CSU Rec, all of which are individually important for you as you progress.
Wellness is important for our health, personal growth, relationships, and overall quality of life. Throughout our daily routines, it is very easy to ignore healthy habits and pass up opportunities to make ourselves better. Shine Well focuses on Developmental, Emotional, Environmental, Financial, Physical, Social, and Spiritual wellbeing. Finding a balance of these seven elements can help to lead a more fulfilling, consistent life for years to come, especially when life gets busy. Learning more about how these seven categories of wellness can impact you and improve your daily life will only help to lead you further in your endeavors. Stay tuned to our blog in the coming weeks as we shine a brighter light on each of the seven elements to help you Be Active and, more importantly, Be Well.
