2025 Schedule of Events

In 1993, Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week (GPSAW) was launched nationally. GPSAW celebrates the accomplishments of our graduate & professional students and their contribution to the CSU community.

The College of Graduate Studies and the Graduate & Professional Student Association (GPSA) will be hosting events for GPSAW.

If your office or department is hosting an event for GPSAW you can complete this brief form and we can help publicize your programming.

April 7-11

MONDAY APRIL 7

GPSAW Kickoff
11am-1pm in Student Center Ballroom (Third Floor)
Join us for free food, networking activities, a DJ, photobooth, and caricature artist as we kick off Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week.

TUESDAY, APRIL 8

GPSA Paint and Play
5-7pm in Student Center Atrium (First Floor)
Paint t-shirts, play trivia, enjoy free food, and have the opportunity to win Viking Outfitters gift cards.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 9

Wellness Wednesday 
12-4pm in 103-104 Parker Hannifin Hall
Drop in to relax and enjoy some snacks during 12-4pm..

Activities include a Guided Meditation from 12:15-12:45pm and Chair Massages from 2-4pm.

THURSDAY, APRIL 10

Donuts with the Dean 
9:30am-10:15am in 104 Parker Hannifin Hall
Join Dean Bill Kosteas, Dean of Graduate Studies, for coffee and donuts on Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week!

AI Tools for Academic Research
11:30am-12:30pm via Zoom
This live Zoom workshop will discuss a variety of AI-based tools to assist with academic research and reference management, as well as dive into ethics and citation guidelines relevant to academic research and publishing. The participants will have the opportunity to experiment with these tools and are encouraged to come with a research topic and/or scholarly articles they would like to explore.

3-6pm at Corner Alley (402 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44114)

Join us for fun, bowling, and food at Corner Alley! Includes free bowling with shoe rental included, as well as appetizers. You also can win Viking Outfitters gift cards.
