Poster Competition

Anit-Hazing Poster 

To support Ohio’s new Collin’s Law (Ohio’s Anti Hazing Law) and CSU’s updated Student Code of Conduct, participating student organizations and individual students will create a poster for National Hazing Prevention Week. Submissions will be posted for public viewing during Hazing Prevention Week. Winners will be selected and notified by the end of September. 

Prizes include: VIZIO TV, AirPods, Wireless Speakers

POSTERS WILL BE EVALUATED ON THE FOLLOWING AREAS:
  • Theme implementation 

    • Theme: Be A Hero, Stop Hazing
    • The theme does not need to be on the poster. 
       
  • Creatively incorporate your student organization (Examples below):
    • Chess Club might use the tagline: “Don’t make someone a pawn in your game.” 
    • A Computer Science Club might create a poster that reads “Ctrl, Alt, Del, HAZING” 
       
  • Meets all submission guidelines.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  • Posters should be submitted by Friday, September 23rd at 11:59pm via an email attachment to d.w.haas@csuohio.edu. Include the following information: 
    • Creator contact information
    • Student name and/or student organization name
    • Description of the poster
  • “National Hazing Prevention Week” must be somewhere on the poster.
  • One entry per person. Yes, a student organization could have more than one submission. 
  • Posters must be sized at 8.5” x 11” or 11″ x 17″ and may be created in either portrait or landscape orientations. Poster designers should consider that most printers do not print edge to edge and should consider incorporating a .25” border.
  • Completed posters must be digitally converted into a high-resolution JPEG (JPG) for submission.
    • Paintings, drawings, collages, and photography be digitized and submitted. 
  • The poster may not contain any nudity or derogatory/defamatory images. 
  • The poster may not contain any offensive, accusatory nor derogatory/defamatory language, unless it emphasizes an impactful statement about hazing.
  • All design images must be original and may not infringe upon any copyrighted work. Winners will be asked to confirm.
