Welcome to Cleveland State University! My name is Lorenzo Pearson, and I am the STEM Outreach Specialist for the college of Arts and Sciences. CSU is a place where students and faculty work together to grow, explore and make a difference. Also, CSU is one of — if not the only — university that is located less than five miles from three major professional sports teams (Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Guardians)!

What’s your favorite spot on the CSU campus and why?
My favorite spot on the CSU campus has to be the Student Center Plaza. There's always something going, and it sits in the center of campus. Not to mention a Chick-fil-A and a Starbucks!

What advice do you have for students who are choosing a college?
Don’t just choose a name — choose a community. The people around you shape your experience. Go where you’ll be challenged, supported and encouraged to thrive, both inside and outside of the classroom.

What’s your favorite CSU fun fact?
A "skyway" on campus: The campus Innerlink connects various buildings above ground, creating a kind of indoor "walkway" that’s mostly hidden from the public eye. It’s a little-known feature that makes it easier for students to navigate through winter months without having to step outside!
