Using Augmented and Virtual Reality in Education

Augmented reality layers digital information on top of physical objects and locations.  Virtual reality immerses people into worlds that would otherwise be impossible to visit.   Either is incredibly difficult to describe with words alone yet both greatly expand the possibilities of classroom and content engagement.

Please join Chris Rennison and Center staff in Rhodes Tower 706 for an opportunity to “test-drive” augmented and virtual reality.  The session will start with a short primer on both technologies and transition to participants gaining hands-on experience with augmented and virtual reality apps and hardware.
