Graduate Admission Requirements

Graduate applicants must meet all minimum requirements for consideration.

1. Academic: Hold a baccalaureate degree equivalent to a baccalaureate degree earned in the U.S.
    
2. Examinations: Provide official score report of the GRE, GMAT or MAT, if required by your academic department for your intended program. Test scores must be sent from the testing agencies directly to CSU. The academic program has the option of requiring additional test requirements from applicants. Please check program requirements in the graduate catalog.

3. English language proficiency: Successfully meet one of the below options as proof of English language proficiency. Test scores must be sent from the testing agencies directly to CSU.

     TOEFL iBT (Internet-Based)	78 and at least 17 in each section
     TOEFL PBT (Paper-Based)	550
     IELTS	6.0 and at least 5.0 in each section
     Duolingo English Test	110 and at least 95 in each section
     Pearsons Test of English (PTE)	50
     iTEP	3.8

   • Successful completion of CSU's IELP (Intensive English Language Program) Advanced Level with a grade of 80% or better
   • Completion of English language studies (Level 112) from the ELS Language Centers
   • Graduated from a secondary school or accredited college/university in the U.S. or from one of the TOEFL exempted countries.
      
4. Letters of recommendation are required for most programs, but not all. Please check your specific program's requirements in the graduate catalog.
