Academic Coaching Resource Center
NEW! For Academic Coaching Professionals
Academic Coaching is part of a strategic effort to advance student success and improve retention and graduation rates – key components of the university’s strategic commitment of expanding the scale, scope, and integration of student mentoring, advising, and coaching to prepare students to join the workforce and our pursuit of preeminence. And to review, revise, and optimize use of all tools deployed to monitor student persistence and academic progress.
Academic Coaching will keep students at the center and focus on retention. As part of these changes, we will be prioritizing the Unified Academic Coaching and invest in our current employees to boost purpose, morale, and retention, and in recognition of their incredible commitment to our students and their outcomes.
The CSU Office of Instructional Excellence, National Institute for Student Success, CSU Senior Academic Coach have/are designing professional development for all Academic Coaches. The Professional Development includes monthly training on topics such as: Core Curriculum, Integrated Degrees, Transfer students, Technology, Five standards of CARE and much more. A two week onboarding curriculum is being developed for new coaches before they enter the field.
This site will serve as a resource center for all academic coaching professionals.
