All military affiliated students, including those interested in ROTC, should email vabenefits@csuohio.edu with any questions related to the certifying process for educational benefits. Students should not call (216) 687-2053 as this number is no longer operational.   

For general assistance with VA benefits questions, including educational, vocational, and career counseling, please contact George Ackerman at 216-875-9942, George.ackerman@va.gov. Mr. Ackerman is the VA-sponsored Vet Success Campus Counselor at Cleveland State University and has an office at the Veterans & Military Student Success Center. 

Mr. Ackerman offers offer Virtual Drop In sessions every Friday from 12pm to 1pm.  These sessions address questions related to VA benefits.  Please see the Zoom information below.
