Housed in the Office of Academic Planning, the Office of Student Learning Assessment coordinates all assessment efforts and initiatives across Cleveland State University's campuses. Our expressed mission is to identify and promote appropriate ways in which to engage the campus community in a transformative and highly participative assessment culture. Office of Student Learning Assessment Mission Statement

Grounded in the CSU Mission Statement, the Office of Student Learning Assessment is designed to promote excellence in student learning outcomes of all academic programs and divisions as well as student support services units, centers, and offices. Central to our beliefs and practices is sustaining a systematic and systemic collection of student learning assessment data used to engage the campus community in reflection and action on continuous program improvement. The overarching goals are as follows: a) strengthening the quality of student learning outcomes, reflective of the development of 21st-century skills needed to compete in an increasingly diverse global economy; b) enhance institutional status and recognition; c) boost enrollment; and d) capitalize on the institution’s capacity to provide students with distinctive programs designed to help them to lead productive lives.
