Blackboard Collaborate Essentials

Blackboard Collaborate is a web-conferencing platform that allows groups to meet, present and collaborate synchronously online. It allows instructors to: 

• Have discussions using voice, video or text chat

• Write, draw and paste images on a shared whiteboard

• Present materials imported from PowerPoint

• Conduct polls and give quizzes

• Simultaneously view webpages, video and other multimedia

• Create breakout room to allow work to be completed in smaller groups

• Screen share to show a live view of the screen on your computer

• Record sessions for later viewing or review

• Host guest speakers

• Hold virtual office hours

Participants in this workshop can attend in person or connect online via Blackboard Collaborate. Instructions will be sent in the confirmation email.
