Core Competency Rubrics

Assessment of the Core Curriculum program focuses on evidence of achievement of the CSU Core Competencies. To facilitate program assessment, we will make use of the following Core Competency rubrics, most of which were designed and tested by the American Association of Colleges & Universities (AAC&U), as part of their VALUE initiative.

In designing core curriculum courses and assignments for those courses, you are encouraged to reference these rubrics and borrow and modify relevant language for the purposes of grading and course-level assessment.
